ACE Construction Company Inc. has been an active member in the construction community for over 40 years. ACE prides itself in having maintained many long term contracts with several corporations throughout Alberta. A few of the notable clients ACE serves are Syncrude, Suncor, ENMAX, The City of Calgary, FortisAlberta, Shaw Communications, TransAlta Utilities, ATCO Electric and numerous landowners and developers. ACE Construction has made an effort to know the stakeholders in the industry and maintain positive working relationships.

ATCO Electric

ACE has a long and successful history with ATCO Electric in Alberta. Since the 1960's ACE has built many major transmission lines for ATCO throughout Alberta and into the Northwest Territories. Most recently, the Oldman River Transmission project was completed in 2002. In addition to transmission line construction, ACE has completed pole replacement projects, underground residential distribution installations, and numerous miscellaneous utility infrastructure projects in Northern and East-Central Alberta. members of this community.

The City of Calgary

All traffic signal construction for the City of Calgary has been contracted to ACE since 1995. During this time, two contract extensions have been executed, displaying the confidence the City has in the quality of work ACE performs. Traffic lighting contracts can vary from 20 to over 70 sets of traffic lights per year. Other projects include work with Calgary Roads on various street lighting requirements.

Telus

Over the years, ACE has completed a multitude of various types of projects for Telus. These projects include project management and construction of fibre optic cable for both underground and overhead and a long term buffering contract consisting of maintaining pressurized air systems on underground telephone cables.

Syncrude

ACE is proud of the 20 year working relationship with Syncrude. A current multi year high voltage construction and maintenance contract is in place and is serviced out of ACE's Calgary office. To ensure quality of work and project fulfillment, ACE operates an on-site office at the Syncrude site in Fort McMurray so progress can be closely monitored.

Suncor

ACE has worked with Suncor on high voltage electrical projects for more than 20 years. ACE currently services Suncor's design and build projects on high-voltage electrical out of its Calgary office.

Shaw Communications

The installation of approximately 2,000 kilometres of Fibre Optic Trunk System, over a five year span, indicates the closeness of the corporate relationship between ACE and Shaw. ACE provided a complete scope of services for these projects and was the preferred supplier. Shaw sourced these projects solely to ACE, indicating their complete trust in ACE's abilities.

ENMAX

ACE has completed many specialized projects for ENMAX including diverse work types ranging from Overhead Distribution Hot Line Work to Commercial Electrical Underground Services and fibre optic installations. ACE has also partnered with ENMAX on competitive proposals for electrical transmission provisions outside the historic scope of both companies. More recently ACE has completed many underground fibre optic cable installations for ENMAX Envision.

AltaLink Maintenance

Since 2005, ACE Construction has been working with AltaLink to meet their needs in construction and maintenance.

FortisAlberta

ACE has had a solid business relationship with FortisAlberta since they entered the Alberta market in 2001 and has held contracts with their predecessors, Utilicorp Networks Canada and TransAlta Utilities, going back over 30 years into the 1960's. ACE also works very closely with FortisAlberta's Underground Residential Distribution (URD) group in the turnkey design, approval, and construction process for residential developments provincewide. ACE has been involved with FortisAlberta in this regard since the inception of the process in 1999 and was, in fact, one of the first to offer the turnkey solution to its clients.

TransAlta Utilities

A strong relationship with TransAlta Utilities has been in place for many years. In fact, ACE's long history of projects dates back to TransAlta's inception, over 20 years ago and even prior to that, when TransAlta was known as Calgary Power. A wide range of projects completed for TransAlta include overhead distribution, transmission, sub-stations and underground. ACE was instrumental in the formation and implementation of a now established unit price contract method with TransAlta. This method is still current in today's business practices.
